Today, Sunrise International Academy had the honor of beginning the school day with a powerful and spiritually uplifting message from Imam Sheikh Ahmed, who addressed our students and staff about the immense significance of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah.
These days, as the Imam beautifully explained, are among the most sacred and blessed periods in the Islamic calendar. Citing authentic teachings, he reminded the school community that no other days are more beloved to Allah for worship, remembrance, and good deeds than these first ten days of Dhul Hijjah.
In his welcoming statement, Imam Sheikh Ahmed encouraged students to make the most of this spiritually rich time by increasing in:
- Prayers and Quran recitation
- Charity and kindness
- Gratitude and reflection
- Seeking forgiveness and making sincere du‘a
He also spoke about the virtues of fasting, especially on the Day of Arafah, and how every small act of good is magnified in reward during these days.
The Imam’s message emphasized the importance of spiritual growth, unity, and character building. His words served not only as a religious reminder but also as an inspiration for our students to lead by example in their behavior, both inside and outside the school.
As we move closer to Eid al-Adha, this morning’s welcome was a meaningful way to connect our daily academic journey with our spiritual values. The academy is committed to nurturing well-rounded individuals who honor both knowledge and faith.
May these blessed days of Dhul Hijjah bring peace, prosperity, and spiritual elevation to all our students, staff, and families.
